Abstract
The brazing is a method of permanently joing a wide range of materials and has wide application in fabrication components of commercial value. It is distinguished from welding in taht the process takes a temperatures below the melting points of the materials to be joined and from soldering by the temperature of processing above method 450 degree. This method is commonly used in electronics or refrigerating machines due to tis advantage of diminution of heat influence and easy manufacturing.
Unfortunately, the brazing method for copper alloy used in household air contioner has some demerits that the copper allow is susceptible to heat and the resulting joints may have various flaws. Therefore deciding the optimal joint conditions is an effective method on the basis of the experimental data. However, using a trial-and-error method form the beginning is such a wide area, in order to decide the optimal conditions requires too many number of experience, to overcome these problems and to decide the optimal conditions a procedure using response surface methodology. The response surface emthod, consisting of experimental design, statistical modeling and optimization is used to decide the optimal joint parameter with process conditions.
