Abstract
Fullerene was successfully dispersed into A5083 by Friction Stir Processing (FSP). Material flow during the FSP was investigated in respect to the dispersion of the fullerene. It was revealed that formation mechanism of "Onion ring" was tightly related with the convection flow induced by the shoulder of a rotating tool. the material flow by the shoulder is very important to fabricate the surface composites by the FSP with the uniform dispersion of the reinforcement.
