Abstract

Bulge test was conducted to evaluate formability in exhaust pipes with ferritic stainless steels. From test results, though the pipes by GTAW were fractured at weld metal, those by LBW burst in base metal. From calculation, strain markedly concentrates at weld metal in GTAWs.
