Abstract
We evaluated the effect of HAZ hardness distribution on stress concentration at nugget by FEM and revealed that HAZ is softend by pulsed current pattern which repeats short pausing time and welding time after main welding cycles and it improves cross tensile strength of high strength steel sheets of 980MPa and 1180MPa grade.
