Joining of W-Cu composite materials using Ti-coated Ag-Cu filler materials

Abstract

Previously, we reported joining of W-Cu composite materials by using Ag-Cu filler materials. In this study, we tried to join W-Cu composite materials by using Ag-Cu alloy which had been pre-coated with titanium. Then, joint strength was evaluated, and crack generation and propagation sites were examined.
