Abstract
Kinetics of the sigma phase precipitation in the SUS316FR weld metal was investigated. Sigma phase was precipitated in ferritic phase and was followed by the Johnson-Mehl equation. Kinetic approach suggested the possibility that sigma phase would be precipitate in the weld metal at the service exposure condition.
