Abstract

Instead of PWHT, temper bead welding has been applied in repairing or maintenance operation of nuclear reactor pressure vessel fabricated with low-alloy steel. In the present study, the hardness prediction system of general temper bead welding techniques has been constructed using a neural network. Therefore, the hardness in HAZ during general temper bead welding techniques can be predicted.
