Abstract

In this study, spotFSW was carried out for the dissimilar welding of 2-mm thick UFGed Al to 6061-T6 Al alloy plate. The microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the welds 6061Al/1050Al were investigated. The maximum shear tensile load can reach about 4150 N through plug fracture mode.
