Abstract
The Jyushi-gawa river is a small river (extension:4km) which flows from Ooyachi area of the northern part of Yokkaichi-Shi to the Yokkaichi-Port. Recently, many residential houses and storehouses have been constructed, and water pollution is considered to be serious due to the lack of a sewage system. In order to find the influence of this waste water, an investigation was conducted for 7 years. The results of the investigation are that water pollution was found in some parameters as NO3-N, PO4-P, COD and the main source of the pollutions is considered to be from this municipal waste water.
