Abstract
The movement and deformation of offshore isolated sand bars on the tidal flat were investigated using satellite images, taking the sand bars on the tidal flat facing the Suonada Sea as an example. Then, the shoreline configuration of the sand bars was measured using a DGPS, and the profile survey was conducted along 14 transects on July 23, 2014. Finally, the process of the deformation and mergence of the sand bars with the sandy beach was numerically investigated using the BG model. Measured and calculated results were in good agreement.
