The disaster place name, which indicates the history of natural disasters on the land, is one of the important elements that make up the disaster culture that has been inherited in the local community. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the tsunami hazard map was revised based on the latest scientific knowledge, but the grounds for these were still in the existing record base, and the disaster place name that should be called the crystal of wisdom of the predecessors has the potential to reveal hazards that can complement them. In this study, we analyze the characteristics of geographical features and geological / soil classification by spatial information analysis, and the mutual relations among the common tsunami disaster place names found all over the country.
