It is widely recognized that both the fault slip amount and the rise time are the important parameters for the tsunami numerical simulation, especially for the huge earthquake categorized in Mw9, because of affecting the tsunami water level. Moreover the rise time of the Mw9 huge earthquake varies the tsunami development and the tsunami propagation. Therefore it is necessary that we study tsunami numerical simulations in consideration with the relation of the fault slip amount and the rise time. In this study we derived relational formula between the uplift amount and the uplift time of the seabed that causes constant tsunami height based on the long wave theory. Moreover we confirmed that this formula is consistent with the results of the numerical simulations using the tsunami wave model of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and Nankai Trough earthquake.
