After the wind-driven circulation theory by W. H. Munk, 1) the author used observed data on wind to see the intensity of the Kurosiwo by calculated shearing stresses of wind between two weather stations such as Isigakizima-Minamidaito, Minamidaito-Nase, Yakuzima-Kagosima, Koti-Asizuri and Wakkanai-Sapporo.
