Abstract
In the second report, the optimum agitator sizes were determined. Therefore in this report, the agitators are confined to these sizes and the empirical formula for estimating the critical agitator speeds Nc was derived.
The values of K are shown in Table 2. It was found that the shape of the solid particles is important, and the shape factor was defined as follows.
The effect of the ratio of the quantity of solid particles to liquid was discussed and the ranges of the application of Nc equation above were decided as Fig 12.
