Abstract

It is confirmed by the moment method that the mathematical model of continuous stirred tank proposed in a previous paper can represent complex mixing condition The step response of 1st-order reaction for linear process is measured and compared with that computed from the model.
To consider the micromixing effects of non linear process, the step response of 2nd-order reaction is measured and compared with the calculation based on the proposed model for maximum mixing and complete segregation.
