Abstract

Enthalpy efficiency was defined from the concept of temperature efficiency in cross-flow heat exchangers. An analytical method was proposed to obtain over-all volumetric enthalpy transfer coefficients in multi-pass counter-cross-flow cooling tower and calculated values were compared with experimental values.
As the result, it was recognized that this analytical method reported in this paper was of good utility for the analysis of multi- unit counter-cross-flow cooling tower.
