On Methods of the Separation of Resistance Components of Thin Ships

Abstract

The separation method of the ship resistance components is investigated both experimentally and numerically in this paper. The separation method is defined in the near field and the far field. The calculation is performed by the near field separation. And the experiments are performed by both separation methods. The Wigley model is used as a typical thin ship. The calculation shows good agreement with the experiments.
