Some Considerations on Calculation of Steam Consumption for Cargo Oil Heating in Oil Tanker

Abstract

When planning the machinery parts of oil tankers, estimation of steam consumption for heating cargo oil and maintaining its temperature is a important matter. Especially on motor tankers, capacity of auxiliary boiler is determined by this consideration. No general figures have, however, been given in this connection hitherto. This report deals with this subject.
