Abstract

101 cases of dysentsy were treated with sodium colistin methanesulfonate.
Results were as f allows:
1) Bacillary dlysentery was controlled with 2400 x 104 units as well as other antibiotics.
2) Disappearance of bacillus was very satisfactory.
3) Re-appeal-mice of becillus was noted in 23.8% of patients treated.
4) Intranramuscular administration with dosis of 4.00-800 x 104 nnits was not enough to control bacillery dysentery suggesting that IM admiistration for gastron intestinal klisorders was not the choice of treatment.
