Abstract
Evaluation of the treated margin is a critical factor for predicting local recurrence after locoregional treatment (LT) for hepatocellular carcinoma. The standard method for evaluating the treated margin after LT is by comparing 2D images of CT or MRI before and after LT. However, evaluation through this method is difficult. Therefore, we attempted 3D fusion imaging using CT before and after LT, and examined its efficacy in evaluating the treated margin. Thus, we found that 3D fusion imaging could be performed, and proved extremely useful in the evaluation of the treated margin.
