Endophyte-infested seeds of Agropyron ciliare var. minus (=Elymus racemifer) were collected and investigated on the morphology of fungul endophytes. Mycelia spreaded rather sparsely compared with those of Fustuca arundinacea or Lolium perenne. We pointed out the existence of clustered mycelia which were rarely observed at the outer edge of the aleurone layer. The interaction was discussed between the existence of clustered mycelia and the inducing of choke in A. ciliare var. minus.
