Abstract
Habitat and occurrence of the western flower thrip Frankliniella occidentalis (PERGANDE) in chrysanthemum were examined. In June 1993, this pest was especially found in the terminal buds of chysanthemums which were lately planted in open field, but adults of WFT did not increase subsequently. At that time, before the flowering of chysanthemums which were planted in plastic greenhouse, thrips were found in the terminal buds or on outside of flower buds, afere that adults of WFT and thrips' larvae increased inside flower buds.
