Wire glass windows with aluminium sash are used as fire protective windows. But as the melting point of aluminium is lower than the temperature occurring in fires, aluminium is liable to melt.
We tested various aluminium mullion bars, employing the standard heating curve and observed the melting and deformations. As a result of these tests the necessary shape and thickness of the sash have been obtained.
