How to Select Safety Zone in Tokyo in Case of Conflagration (Specially for Heat Radiation)

Abstract

In 1923, Tokyo was suffered from a great earthquake, and about 59,000 people died, most of them by conflagration. This paper gives the conditions for the safety zone in case of conflagration, specially for heat radiation.
