Abstract
A first story of a fire protected steel construction house was burned for experiment, on which the combustion speed, the flame temperature, the vertical pressure distribution on the inner wall and the expansion of walls were measured. Results were as follows :
1) The maximum temperature reached very high, about 1100°C.
2) The combustion speed was very great, about 40kg/min, and it was compared with the theoretical value, explained in the same bulletin Vol. 2 , No. 1.
3) Expansion of walls was very small, and therefore the decrease of the earth-quake resistance of this house after the fire, was concluded to be very small.
