Abstract

This study shows fine turbulent structure around urban surface and heat transfer process in urban canopy by LES coupling with radiation model, and evaluates the thermal environment in outdoor space of urban districts. First, this study show the method for LES coupling with radiation model. In thermal radiation model, the short and long wave radiation transfer is solved by radiation transport equation based on the Finite Volume Method (FVM). Then, as a validation of presented method, LES for actual urban districts located on the coastal area of Tokyo are carried out and compared with measurement data. Next, this study carries out CFD simulation for high-rise building located in high-rise building area. The results show that heat convection from surrounding urban surface and fine turbulent structure by complicated shape of urban districts and buildings affects the occurrence of intermittent peak value of velocity and air temperature.
