Abstract
As one of the serological tests for tuberculosis the agglutination test has been studien by many investigators for a long time past. Nevertheless it remains to this day as a hard problem owing to the difficulty of obtaining an efficient antigen for the purpose. Lately, however, I have succeeded in obtaining the homogeneous culture of tubercle bacilli by cultivating them in a special alkali-yolk-protein medium prepared by me. Concerning the morphological and tinctorial characteristics of the bacilli cultivated in this culture, I have already reported in a preceding paper published in the “Kekkaku ”(Journal of the Japanese Association for Tuberculosis) Bd.14, 1936.
