Abstract
Change produced in respiratory function and diaphragm were observed on 20 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis patients who were undergoing pneurnoperitoneum and on animals. The study was done mainly on the vital capacity, residual air, breath-holding, intra-pleural pressure, and height of diaphragm, etc and comparisons were made between the findings before and those after the induction of pneumoperitonetim.
In the majority, the decrease rate in vital capacity immediately after the refill of well established pneurnoperitoneum is found to be relatively smaller than the decrease rate noted after the induction of the pheunioperitonenni.
