Abstract
The Okinawa Commemorative National Government Park Office, Okinawa General Bureau, Cabinet Office implements the reconstruction project of the Shurijo Castle which was destroyed by the fire on 31st October, 2019. It takes several years for the project, therefore, the park office opens the reconstruction processes to the public. The park office has built the "Shurijo Castle Digital Twin " mainly based on BIM/CIM data and attempted to utilize it in various ways, for instance to share the expected complete rendering among those who involved in the project and to promote understanding the project to park visitors.
This paper introduces the park office's effort and reports the effectiveness and challenges.
