Abstract
As commonly known, heat-treatment, in any form is not effective for the welded joints of stainless clad steel, because of the tensile stress that could be caused on the side of stainless steel. In this report, we propose the shot peening procedure as a best method to prevent the stress corrosion and discuss the residual stress on the stainless side by shot peening.
