On the basis of the vapor concentration analysis scheme reported is previously, the quantitative vapor concentration distribution in diesel spray impinging on a heated wall is estimated here. Then, a 2-D distribution image of the fuel vapor concentration, the fuel mixture temperature and the liquid phase fluorescence intensity in the impinging spray at an arbitrary time point is observed. The change in vapor concentration with the radial distance from the spray axis and the temporal change in fuel vapor mass and volume are discussed in detail. Moreover, the dipendence of it that the process of the fuel mixture formation on the impinging distance is investigated. And an original scheme for estimation of the liquid phase concentration, that is non-evaporated droplet number density, is proposed.
