Abstract

We have so far prepared several organic TEMPO anions for use as a counterion in organic conductors. In this presentation, we report the structures and physical properties of new TEMPO radical anions, TEMPO-NRCOCH₂SO₃^- (R = C₂H₄OCH₃, C₂H₄OC₂H₅, C₂H₄SC₂H₅) prepared as a PPh ₄ salt. Metathesis with (TTF)₃(BF₄)₂gave their TTF salts, the structures and properties of which are also reported. The results of electrocrystallizations of BEDT-TTF with their PPh₄ salts as an electrolyte are now in progress.
