Abstract
Porphyrinatoantimony(V) complexes have two axial ligands and show the unique properties with dependence of the axial ligand structure. We have been reported on the synthesis of novel tetraphenylporphyrinatoantimony(V) complexes (SbTPP) having various chromophore coordinated with Sb-O bond as an axial ligand and on their photochemical properties including the intramolucular electron and energy transfer from the axial ligand to porphyrin ring part. In this symposium, we report on the synthesis of novel SbTPP complexes having an axial amino group ligand coordinated with Sb-N and on their photochemical properties. The fluorescence was extremely quenched by the introduction of axial amino ligand, compared with that of SbTPP(OH)2. This results suggests that a new nonradiative decay process should exist with the relationship of axial amino ligand (Sb-NHR).
