Rice leaves dusted with some insecticides were provided for the fifth or sixth instar larvae of the armyworm kept in plastic boxes, and dead larvae were counted a day and two days later. As theresult, PAP, MEP, MEP·BPMC, ethofenprox, DEP, MPP, pyridaphenthion·MTMC, chlorpyrifos-methyl. BPMC and bensultap·BPMC were highly effective, while PMP, cartap, cartap-BPMC, buprofezin·BPMC and dimethylvinphos·BPMC were far less effective.
