Abstract
In 2003, Tomato aspermy virus (TAV) was isolated from a chrysanthemum cultivar showing poor growth in Akita Prefecture, Japan. A survey of TAV using RT-PCR assay showed that among 195 chrysanthemums of 77 cultivars collected in the region, only six plants of the cultivar were infected with the virus.
