Molecular-Level Structural Analysis of Polymer-Inorganic Interfaces using Electron Microscopy

Abstract

Recent advancements in electron microscopy techniques are remarkable, enabling the observation of polymeric materials with high contrast and high spatial resolution without staining. This article provides an overview of traditional methods for observing polymeric materials using transmission electron microscopy, followed by recent researches where molecular-level segregations at interfaces between polymers and inorganic materials were analyzed by utilizing advanced electron microscopy techniques.
