Abstract
We generalize Simons' method to spacelike submanifolds of Mqn+p(c)(1{≤}q{≤}p) and characterize the totally geodesic submanifolds of Sqn+p(c)(1{≤}q{≤}p) under the pinching conditions on scalar curvature, Ricci curvature and sectional curvature, respectively.
