The properties of intramode beat of the 0.63μm light lased by an internal mirror laser filled with single isotope 20Ne and 3He are studied. The tuning curve of the intramode beat frequency is S shape, and is located approximately at the center of the single mode range of the laser. The offset of the tuning curve, amplitude and the separation of the two peaks are almost same among the tubes made at the same production lot, whereas the central beat frequency differs from tube to tube. Several findings implying the possibility to improve the absolute accuracy of the wavelength reproduced by a stabilized transverse Zeeman laser are also reported.
