Leptaulax niae, which has been synonymized with L. bicolor, is regarded as a valid species, and redescribed based on the lectotype. Additionally, the male genitalia of L. niae is described for the first time based on a topotype specimen, and L. niae is newly recorded from Siberut, the Mentawai Islands.
