The Construction of Network Servers for CALL and the Development of Authoring System for English Teaching Materials

Abstract

This paper reports on the six-year establishment of the e-Learning programs in the CALL laboratories- Computer Assisted Language Learning- of Yasuda Women's University, focusing on the construction and the management of the Internet servers and network and the strategies taken to fulfill English learning through CALL. It also shows the development process and the characteristics of the YASUDA SYSTEM, a WBT-Web-Based Training-of our own design for presenting and authoring the English teaching materials.
