Abstract

Adalia bipunctata (L.) is widespread from Europe to North America and can be distinguished into various morph types based on elytra colour. This species was first recorded in Japan on 16 December, 1993 in Osaka City. Thereafter, the non-melanic morph has been observed primarily. The present report includes a record of the melanic morph of this species.
