Abstract
Linkage analysis of the maternal brown of Tsujita (symbol b-t) gene was performed. It was shown that the b-t gene was linked with chocolate (ch) which had been known to be located at 9.6 position on the thirteenth linkage group. A three-point experiment involving b-t, ch and cf was made in order to determine map position of the b-t gene. The recombination value between b-t and ch was 5.70%, ch-cf 10.66%, and b-t-cf 15.53%. Taking correction factor into account, the locus of b-t was calculated to be 6.04 units away to the left of ch. Hence the b-t gene is localized at 3.6 on the thirteenth linkage group.
