Abstract
Polyesters and polyamides containing isoxazoline ring in the main chain were prepared by the polycondensation of acid chloride with diols or diamine having isoxazoline ring, which were prepared by the 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between terephthalonitrile oxide and unsaturated alcohol or amine. As the results, the interfacial polycondensation of diol or diamine with terephthaloyl chloride did not give a polyester or polyamide with high viscosity while the solution polycondensation gave a polyamide with high viscosity. The interfacial polycondensation of adipyl chloride or bis (p-chlorocarbonyl phenyl) phenyl phosphine oxide did not succeed to obtain the expected polymer. The property of the polymer obtained was described.
