Abstract
Brazing of titanium in air was studied, by using these alloys and fluxes which have been discussed in the previous report.
Table 1 shows the results of tensile tests under the combination of these alloys and fluxes. Most of them were ruptured at the brazed part by shear stress, however some were broken by tensite stress.
Alloys containing Ag 34-36%, Cu 17-19 %, Zn 5-15% and Cd 34-38% and fluxes I or IV were excellent as shown in Table 1.
The micro-structures of brazed specimens were also studied. Finally, these results stated above were compared with those of Dececco et al. The brazing processes which were studied in this paper were excellent in various points because of low brazing temperature utilized.
