A Statistical Analysis on Containership Development and its Trend of Large Size

Abstract

Since the full containership has been introduced in the late 1960's for general cargo transportation. The container transport and ship size has been growing up rapidly.
This paper analyzes main features such as hull form, ship speed of containerships statistically and the feature of a container ship investigates from the viewpoint of transportation energy performance.
