First Record of White Rust of Rocket Caused by Albugo candida in Japan

Abstract

White rust symptom of rocket occurred on Chichijima in Ogasawara (Bonin) Islands in 2018. The pathogen that developed on the diseased plant was identified as Albugo candida. Inoculation tests confirmed that this pathogen is the causal agent of the disease. This is the first reported case of this disease in Japan.
