Abstract

Susceptibility of Beauveria bassiana GHA strain, a component of a biocontrol agent, to 56 chemical insecticides were investigated. Conidia of the fungus were mixed with the insecticides diluted to concentrations registered for use in fields and inoculated to cucumber leaves. Colony forming units of the fungus before and after a week incubation were isolated onto a selective medium for the fungus from the leaves and compared. Malathion and MEP, insecticides of IRAC code 1B, were inhibited survival of GHA strain. All of tested insecticides of IRAC 15B and 4A also inhibited the survival, and flonicamid and flumetaxamide did also. Ten insecticides inhibited growth of the strain on agar media, but not survival on cucumber leaves.
