Intraclonal color variation induced by temperature, and the lack of different aliesterase activity among color forms in cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii GLOVER

Abstract

Light-colored forms were produced at higher temperatures and dark-colored forms were produced at lower temperatures in a clone of A. gossypii isolated from melon. These color forms in the clone or a population of melon did not have difference of aliesterase activity, associating with organophosphorus resistance.
