Abstract

It is possible to enforce medical treatment efficiently to the suitable case for an early stage, if the poor prognosis group which is likely to carry out lymph node metastasis of a biopsy can be sorted out. In this study, the expression of VEGF-C which was related to lymphangiogenesis was examined on VEGF-C expression and lymphatic vessel invasion in the breast cancer tissues. As the result, the breast carcinoma cell of the VEGF-C positive expression was confirmed in many lymphatic vessel invasion example, and the significant differential was between VEGF-C expression and lymphatic vessel invasion (p<0.001). It was suggested that VEGF-C in which the breast cancer tissues was produced became an useful factor which can predict the lymph node metastasis from the case without lymphatic vessel invasion and lymph node metastasis.
