Abstract
The present report deals with the results of a wild bee survey made in the central part of Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, during the bee season in 1984 and 1985, in order to obtain some basic information about the faunal makeup and phenology. The total sample consisted of 26 genera, 104 species and 1857 individuals. Halictidae ranked first, followed by Andrenidae, Anthophoridae and Megachilidae. The faunal makeup in the present area is similar to that observed in Kagoshima Prefecture, South Kochi and Kibi (Wakayama Pref.).
